The Orlando Magic know the path that awaits them for their long-awaited 2025 season. The first 80 games of the Magic’s 82-game road trip are on the horizon.

Of course, the NBA schedule is pretty much the same every year. There are just a few different ways to say, “You’ll play all 29 other NBA teams.” This isn’t a college sport where you can pick your schedule and get excited about certain opponents. The Magic are guaranteed to play every team in the league at least twice (and at home at least once).

The NBA is a league where new players have to get used to losing: a good season still has 32 losses.

The games come and go. That’s the blessing and curse of the NBA schedule: There’s always another game. That’s why no one can ever get too high or too low after a win or a loss. There’s no time to come back until the next game.

What we look for in the schedule are the tough moments. We look for the weak moments where the team can get wins. We look for when and where the two-legged games will be played.

The Magic had the best end of the schedule this yearplaying the fewest consecutive games in the league with 13 this year and holding an advantage in games with a rest advantage over games with a rest disadvantage, reversing both from last year. Orlando has parts of the schedule that will benefit the team.

There are always important moments in the schedule: West Coast trips and long team road trips still count, just as long homestands are essential. By analyzing the schedule, it’s easy to prepare for the monotonous days of the season.

It’s easy to lose sight of what’s important and get lost among the trees.

Now we can take a look at the season as a whole. We can look at the entire schedule and highlight the turning points of the season and the important points. We’ve already highlighted one of these 10-game stretches (and we’ll talk about it again here, because it’s important).

To help you digest the schedule, we’re going to analyze the five most important periods of the season. The ones that will determine whether the team succeeds this year or not.
