It’s been another tumultuous season for the Golden State Warriors. Less than two years removed from an NBA championship, the franchise has I had a hard time putting up a winning product on the floor. The Dubs are currently fighting tooth and nail just to get a spot in the play-in tournament.

Several factors contributed to the Warriors’ fall from grace, but arguably the biggest is simply constructing a subpar roster. The front office failed to put adequate pieces in place around Stephen Curry for the second straight season.

As a result, Golden State should prepare for a number of trades to potentially make this upcoming offseason. These are five trade scenarios the Warriors could consider this summer to move up again.

Looking at the Warriors’ second first-round pick in the 2021 draft, Moses Moody has made notable improvements. With increased opportunities, he has proven to be an effective ball handler for Stephen Curry.

In fits and starts, Moody has shown he can have a legitimate future in this league. But the problem for the Warriors remains that they are clearly in win-now mode. The whole “two timelines” theory turns out to be just that: a theory.

If they can, Golden State should try to trade Moses for a ball guard who can make more immediate contributions. High-profile players like Tyrese Maxey or Jrue Holiday are probably out of the question given what the Warriors would have to give up, but a less expensive option could work. Proven players like Josh Richardson and Reggie Jackson would be excellent options.
