Miami is 33-26 on the season, but 15-13 at the Kaseya Center.

Despite the fact that the Miami Heat are in the midst of a recovery from seven defeats earlier, as they have now won nine of their last 12 matches, their home record of 15-13 leaves much to be desired. Heat star Tyler Herro said the initial objective was to be “.500 on the road then dominant at home” while it’s pretty much the opposite according to Ira Winderman of The Sun Sentinel.

“At the beginning of the season,” Herro said, “the goal is to be .500 on the road and then dominate at home. I think early on we lost a few home games where we were winning and then we We lost in the fourth quarter,” Herro continued, “and that hurt the record to the point where we had to get in the mindset of becoming road warriors, like, ‘Let’s go.’ to win so many away games because we don’t win at home, so we had to make up for some of those wins on the road.

“But I don’t really know why we don’t win at home,” Herro continued. “because in the past we were usually dominant at home.”

Bam Adebayo talks about inconsistency at home for the Heat

When Herro talks about “the mindset of becoming road warriors,” it could help if Miami doesn’t get home-field advantage in the playoffs. But the question of inconsistency at the national level nevertheless remains unanswered, even if star Bam Adebayo doesn’t know why even if it has been a strength in previous years.

“Dude, I don’t know. We have had our ups and downs, good and bad. Guys in and out of the lineup,” Adebayo said. “The best thing for us is from then on, instead of being average, to be more impressive at home. We played a few away games that gave us some momentum, so when we come home, let’s take advantage of that momentum.

“We want to win at home,” Adebayo continued. “We don’t want to disappoint our fans, that they come to the games and see us lose. But it happened, and you move on.

Anyway, Adebayo responded to this they need to take the momentum from Miami’s success on the road (22-16 away record) and carry that into competition at the Kaseya Center. In the previous six games, all on the road, the Heat were 5-1, leading to a 33-26 record, which placed them eighth in the Eastern Conference.

Miami begins a two home games on Saturday as they take on the Utah Jazz, then they take on the Detroit Pistons the following Tuesday.
