What there is to know

The Kings will play the full four quarters on Thursday, but they should have things wrapped up well before then. After playing yesterday, they will return immediately and host the San Antonio Spurs at 10 p.m. ET on March 7 at Golden 1 Center. The Spurs suffered a loss in their last game and will look to turn things around against the Kings, who are coming off a win.

The Lakers usually have all the answers at home, but on Wednesday the Kings proved too difficult a challenge. They came away with a 130-120 victory over the Lakers. The victory was even more spectacular because the Kings fell behind by 19 points with 1:52 remaining in the first quarter.

Several players had strong performances to lead the Kings to victory, but perhaps none more so than De’Aaron Fox, who scored 44 points and two steals. In fact, it’s the most points Fox has scored all season. Domantas Sabonis was another key contributor, posting a triple-double with 16 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists.

Meanwhile, the Spurs traveled a rocky road last season, and unfortunately for them, the road didn’t get any smoother. They suffered a 114-101 loss in the loss column to Houston on Tuesday.

Sacramento’s victory improved its record to 35-26. As for San Antonio, they have struggled recently as they have lost 13 of their last 16 games, which has significantly dented their 13-49 record this season.

The Kings didn’t have much breathing room in their matchup against the Spurs in the teams’ last game two weeks ago, but they still came away with a 127-122 victory. Do the Kings have another win up their sleeve, or will the Spurs turn things around? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
