The Philadelphia 76ers were expected to get back on track Friday when they hosted the New Orleans Pelicans. They lost two games in a row after some fourth-quarter collapses in both games and were looking to get back into the win column.
That didn’t happen Friday when the Pelicans trailed by 35 and handed the Sixers a 103-95 defeat. Of course, Philadelphia deserves credit for getting back into the game. The Sixers cut the deficit to just six late in the game before New Orleans closed out the game, but the poor start got them in.
Kelly Oubre Jr. had 20 points and seven rebounds, Paul Reed had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Tobias Harris added 21 and 10 rebounds and Kyle Lowry had six and seven assists. Cam Payne added 13 points.
