GIANNIS Antetokounmpo left NBA fans in hysterics with the choice of words the Milwaukee Bucks star used to congratulate Patrick Beverley.
The veteran guard joined the Bucks in a midseason trade with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Beverley, 35, seems to have hit it off quickly with Antetokounmpo, 29.
The Greek striker discussed a possibility of teaming up with the outspoken NBA guard instead of playing against him.
And he said what many had about Beverley in the past – but the words Antetokounmpo used made the quote go viral.
“He’s one of those guys that – sorry for my language – you say ‘he’s an asshole,'” the Bucks star said after Sunday’s 124-117 victory over the Bucks. Los Angeles Clippers.
“But when he plays on your team, say, ‘That’s my asshole.’ You know
“And I love him. We love playing with him. He’s a leader, he knows how to play. He’s a winner.”
And NBA fans laughed at the comment on social media.
“No higher praise for a teammate!” we wrote.
“Immaculate vibes,” added another.
“Bruh WHAT??” said a third.
“Quote of the year for sure,” one wrote.
Milwaukee has a roller coaster of a seasonwhich saw Doc Rivers replace Adrian Griffin as head coach in January.
The Bucks went 3-7 before the All-Star break before recording a six-game winning streak when the league resumed.
Last week they lost back-to-back clashes against the Warriors of the Golden State And the Los Angeles Lakers then got back in the win column with a victory over the Clippers.
