Bucks vs Kings Predictions
THE Milwaukee Bucks I’ve had a roller coaster season, and it hasn’t been any different lately. After Doc Rivers took over as head coach, the Bucks immediately went off the rails, losing five of their first six games and seven of their first nine.
And as quickly as everyone panicked during that period, everyone changed their minds once the Bucks reeled off six straight wins. However, during that span, there were some wins that shouldn’t have sparked such optimism, as three wins against the Hornets in as many weeks is hardly anything to get excited about.
Despite some uncertain results at best along the way, there has been much talk at times about the Bucks’ defensive improvement. They ranked third in defensive rating at one point since Rivers was hired, but have since slipped to 11th.
Much has also been made of former head coach Adrian Griffin’s clashes with players regarding offensive philosophies, but the Bucks ranked second in offensive rating before Rivers took over.
Despite their incredible win-loss record, the Bucks are overvalued on the market. They own the fourth-lowest coverage rate in the league and Doc’s hiring hasn’t created any huge advantage on that front, considering they’ve been dead even against the spread since his hiring.
Take the Kings of Sacramento to take care of things at home.
My best bet: Kings -1 (-108 at DraftKings)
Parlay Bucks vs Kings in the same game
When building a same-match parlay for tonight’s match, there are a few weak spots to attack. The Bucks have allowed 26.2 points to opposing point guards this season, good for the third-worst mark, behind the Pistons and Spurs.
De’Aaron Fox is coming off a modest performance by his standards, scoring just 18 points in a loss to the Rockets on Sunday. However, before that, he had averaged 31.9 points on 51.7% shooting in the previous eight games. I expect the Kings’ star point guard to return to that form tonight.
Another area to attack in this matchup is the Kings’ ability to defend the paint and opposing centers. Their 20.4 points allowed to opposing centers is the third-best mark of the season, which could create problems for Brook Lopez.
Some may argue that Lopez is an exception to most centers because he is also a very potent 3-point threat, but the Kings have allowed the third-fewest three points per game at the position.

Bucks vs. Kings Spread and Over/Under Analysis
As previously mentioned, the Bucks have been one of the worst teams against the spread this year. Their 28-36-1 record is good for just a 43.8% coverage rate, the fourth-worst mark in the league.
The Kings are dead even with a 31-31-1 ATS record this year, and despite a more than respectable 17-12 win-loss record at home, they have an abysmal 11-18 record in this division – good for the fifth lowest coverage rate. in this split.
However, this is a team that systematically gets ahead of games that should be close. In games where they have been favorites or underdogs by less than two points, they have led 9-2 in a row.
The Bucks have played the Under lightly this year, going 33-31-1 that way this year. However, on the road, they were a little stronger against the Under, with a record of 19-13-1, which is the sixth best mark in this division. More importantly, though, the Bucks are 16-3 against the Under since Doc Rivers took over as head coach.
Sacramento went 32-28-3 in the Over this year, which may not seem remarkable at first, but that 53.3% rate is good for the fifth-highest mark of the year. At home, the Kings were a disproportionately high 19-9-1 O/U (67.9%), 7% higher than the next best mark.
