3rd quarter report
After a tough road loss in their last outing, the Grizzlies look much better today on their home court. They have a bit of a lead as they currently lead the Wizards 92-75. The Grizzlies took a big blow to their ego last Sunday, so a win here would be a nice pick-me-up.
The Grizzlies came into the game with extra motivation after the loss they suffered the last time these two teams met. We’ll see if they are able to flip the script or if it will just be more of the same.

What there is to know
The Washington Wizards will hit the road to face the Memphis Grizzlies at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at FedExForum. After coming off a win as an underdog, the Wizards will enter this one as favorites.
The Wizards had a tough time earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins, it looks like their luck might finally be changing. They had just enough and outscored Miami 110-108. Winning is a little easier when you work as a team to rack up 15 more assists than your opponent, like the Wizards did.
The Wizards earned their victory thanks to several key players, but it was Kyle Kuzma up front who nearly dropped a double-double with 32 points and nine rebounds. Kuzma continues to roll, beating his previous point total in each of the last three games he has played. The team also received help from Tyus Jones, who had a double-double with 12 points and 16 assists.
Meanwhile, the Grizzlies gave up the first and most points on Sunday. They suffered a dismal 124-93 loss to Oklahoma City. The Grizzlies have struggled recently against the Thunder, with their game on Sunday being their fourth straight loss.
The losing team was strengthened by Gregory Jackson, who scored 30 points and six rebounds. In fact, it’s the most points he’s scored all season.
Washington’s win ended an eight-game road drought and puts them at 11-53. As for Memphis, they have struggled recently as they have lost seven of their last nine games, which has significantly dented their 22-43 record this season.
The Wizards managed to pull off a solid win against the Grizzlies in their previous meeting in October 2023, winning 113-106. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wizards since the team won’t have home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change of location makes a difference.
