What there is to know

After two road games, the Pacers return home. After playing yesterday, they will return immediately and host the Chicago Bulls at 7:30 p.m. ET on March 13 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. After coming off a win as an underdog, the Pacers will come in as favorites.

Winning is a little easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact the Pacers proved on Tuesday. They won against Oklahoma City with a score of 121-111.

The Pacers earned their victory thanks to several key players, but it was Myles Turner up front who scored 24 points along with four blocks. Turner didn’t help the Pacers’ cause much against the Magic on Sunday, but the same can’t be said for this contest. Pascal Siakam was another key contributor, posting a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Bulls gave up the first and most points on Monday. It will take them some time to recover from the 127-92 score handed to Dallas on Monday. The Bulls were in a tough spot after the first half, with the score already 62-42.

Indiana pushed its record to 37-29 with the win, which was its third straight on the road. As for Chicago, this is the second straight loss for them and drops their season record to 31-34.

Wednesday’s game is one where the number of possessions will likely be a big factor: the Pacers haven’t given up the ball easily this season, averaging just 12.7 turnovers per game. However, it’s not like the Bulls (currently ranked fourth in turnovers per game) are struggling in this department as they’ve only averaged 11.7 turnovers per game. Given these competing forces, it will be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

The Pacers topped the Bulls in their previous meeting in December 2023 by a score of 120-104. Will the Pacers repeat their success, or will the Bulls have a better game plan this time around? We’ll know soon enough.
