The Chicago Bulls open a three-game homestand on Thursday. Chicago couldn’t make up for the loss to the Clippers last weekend, losing by a score of 112-102. The team had 3.5 points in a 127-92 home loss to the Mavericks on Tuesday. Chicago is ninth in the conference. The Los Angeles Clippers have been mediocre recently, going 2-3 in their last five games, including two straight losses. The Chicago Bulls are a solid 3-2 in their last five games heading into Wednesday night’s game at Indiana.

Additionally, the Clippers have only covered the spread in one of their last five road contests. They’re the strongest offensive team here, but they’ve cooled off offensively, averaging 111 points in their last five games. The Bulls have averaged 110 points in their last five games. Defensively, these teams are similar. The Clippers concede 114.7 points per 100 possessions compared to 115.3 points for the Bulls.

Prediction: Chicago Bulls +4.5

I expect this one to be outdated. Los Angeles managed to score 50% of its field goals against the Bulls last weekend. The Bulls’ defense has been mediocre, allowing at least 117 points in three of their last four games.

Additionally, Chicago should score more than usual against a Clippers team that could be without Leonard after he exits the game on Tuesday. Leonard is second in team rebounds. Vucevic put up a ton of rebounds for the Bulls and should have another big game. The over has conceded three of the Clippers’ last four games.

Prediction: Over 220.5
