THE Warriors of the Golden State entered the NBA season with great aspirations. They even held out until the trade deadline because they still had confidence in the roster they had built.

But with Draymond Green and Chris Paul missing significant time with suspension and injury, respectively, and Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson struggling on the field, their season was rather disappointing.

Despite That of Stephen Curry remarkable efforts, this team was stuck in 10th place in the Western Conference for most of the season, and that’s unlikely to change at this point.

Steve Kerr thinks the Warriors can still get hot

We’re reaching the latter part of the season and time is running out in the Bay Area. However, the coach Steve Kerr still has the utmost confidence in his team’s ability to warm up when it counts:

“The season is truly a marathon” » said Kerr. “At any point in the season you get 10 wins in a row and that’s important. It doesn’t matter if it’s at the beginning or at the end. I still have no doubt that this team can go out there and put up a good effort.

Rookie SG Brandon Podziemski also spoke about their situation. And while he admits they’re almost on the verge of making the Play-In tournament, that wasn’t their goal:

“Yeah, it’s intimidating.” » said Podziemski. “Just because you don’t want to be the 10th seed. The 11th seed is, I think, four or five games behind us. So, I don’t think we’ll get to that low. But you don’t want to be the 10th seed and have to play two away games before getting into a real series.

The Warriors have plenty of playoff experience, and they are the last team you would want to bet against in a seven-game series. Then again, it’s time they start showing their best if they want to gain momentum heading into the playoffs.
