OG Anunoby may have shown some discomfort during Thursday’s action between the New York Knicks and Portland Trail Blazers, but the forward plans to play his next available game.

Anunoby, who played in his second game after a lengthy absence due to the removal of a bone fragment from his right elbow on Feb. 8, scored 12 points on five-of-11 shooting in the Knicks’ 105-93 victory.

With New York missing out on its major trade acquisition over the past month, seeing Anunoby display signs of discomfort was troubling — but if you ask Anunoby, it’s business as usual.

“I thought I was going to come in and make an impact. I didn’t really think about it,” Anunoby said when asked if his elbow injury was a concern for him upon his return. “As the games go on, everything will start to improve. I certainly don’t feel what I felt before I had [injured], conditioning level, but I’m sure it will come back in the next match. It comes back quickly.

After Thursday’s win at Portland, Anunoby made it clear he intends to play when the Knicks take on the Sacramento Kings Saturday night at Golden 1 Center.

“That’s the plan. I wasn’t thinking about not playing,” Anunoby said when asked about his status for Saturday.

Anunoby, a player who is reportedly on the Kings’ wish list for the trade deadline, will face a Sacramento team that is coming off two big wins against the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers.

The Kings (38-27) are back in the top six of the Western Conference standings with 17 games remaining, and a win over the Knicks would add to the slim half-game lead they currently have over the Phoenix Suns.

Sacramento will likely have guard Kevin Huerter (leg) back in the lineup Saturday, but forward Trey Lyles (knee) could miss his second straight game.
