3rd quarter report

The Thunder and Mavericks showed up to the game, but their offenses did not. After three quarters, neither team has the competition in the bag, but the Thunder leads 65-63 over the Mavericks. This match is much closer than the previous match between the two men, which was decided by 35 points.

The Thunder entered the competition with extra motivation after the loss they suffered the last time these two teams faced each other. We’ll see if they are able to flip the script or if it will just be more of the same.

Dallas Mavericks @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Current records: Dallas 38-28, Oklahoma City 45-20

How to watch

What there is to know

The Mavericks have quite a challenge ahead of them as they are expected to be run off the field. After playing yesterday, they will hit the road to face the Oklahoma City Thunder at 10 p.m. ET on March 14 at the Paycom Center. The Mavericks will look to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Winning is a little easier when you work as a team to dish out 11 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Mavericks proved on Wednesday. They came away with a 109-99 victory over Golden State.

Kyrie Irving was the offensive star of the game, recording a double-double with 23 points and ten assists. He didn’t help the Mavericks’ cause much against the Bulls on Monday, but the same can’t be said for this game.

Meanwhile, the point spread may have favored the Thunder last Tuesday, but the final result didn’t. They fell 121-111 to Indiana. The Thunder’s loss marked the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dallas’ victory improved its record to 38-28. As for Oklahoma City, their loss ended a nine-game home winning streak and dropped them to 45-20.

While only the Thunder took care of their fans in their last game, neither team managed to cover. As for their match on Thursday, the Thunder are the favorites, as experts expect them to win by ten points. This contest will be their 24th straight as a favorite (so far in that stretch, they are 11-12 ATS).

A high-performance offense is likely on the agenda, as Dallas and the Thunder are among the highest-scoring teams in the league. The Mavericks have had no problem running up the score this season, averaging 119 points per game. However, it’s not like the Thunder (currently ranked third) are struggling in this department as they are averaging 120.7 points per game. With both teams so easily able to rack up points, the only question that remains is who can run up the score.
