Saturday evening, the Chicago Bulls will welcome the Wizards of Washington at the United Center in Illinois.

Before the game (Friday), the Bulls announcement an update on the rookie’s injury Julien Phillips.

Via Chicago Bulls: “Injury Update: Julian Phillips has been diagnosed with a sprained right foot.

Phillips will wear a walking boot and his status will be updated as appropriate.”

Phillips was the 35th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft out of Tennessee.

He has played in 40 games for the Bulls this season and is averaging 2.2 points per game while shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from three-point range.

In addition to his time in the NBA, Phillips also spent time in the G League playing for the Windy City Bulls.

He on average 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 50.0% from the field and 50.0% from three-point range in four regular season games.

As for the Bulls, they have had an up-and-down season and are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-35 record in 67 games.

They have gone 5-5 in their last ten games and recently lost to the Los Angeles Clippers (at home) with a score of 126-111.

After the Wizards, the Bulls will play their next game Monday night when they host the Portland Trail Blazers.

At home, they are 16-17 in the 33 games they have hosted at the United Center in Chicago.
