When the NBA team you play for is coached by a man who has won national titles at the NCAA level and tells you that you remind him of one of the key players who helped make that possible, things are going well for you .
And, in the middle of the 2024 NCAA tournament, Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan has gone out of his way to say the Bulls are keeping Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White remind him of the big man, national champion Florida Gators, Joakim Noah. For young basketball fans, that’s high praise, even though Noah’s peak was more than 15 years ago.
But Dosunmu and White are the future of the Bulls organization — and for exactly the kind of reasons Donovan notes.
