Looking to bounce back from their brutal defeat to the Boston Celtics Saturday evening, Chicago Bulls welcomed the Wizards of Washington in town Monday evening. The Wizards, one of the worst teams in the NBA, had won two straight games and, unfortunately for the Bulls, Washington defeated them, winning three games in a row for the first time this season.
Washington earned a 107-105 victory over Chicago, and although the Bulls made it a competitive game down the stretch, they lost by as many as 16 points over the course of the game. Like the bulls fight for their place in the Play-In 9-10 game, they need every win they can get.
After the loss, DeMar DeRozan expressed his frustration. (H/t ESPN)
“We shouldn’t give up on games like this right now,” DeRozan said. “We are resilient, but we cannot live on the edge every game. We can lose to any team on any night. It’s the NBA. We must be aware of this. We have to let these last 10 games go. I can’t have any more excuses.
DeRozan finished the game with 27 points, two rebounds, six assists and five steals while shooting 9 of 22 from the field and 1 of 4 from beyond the three-point arc.
