Monday evening, the Cleveland Cavaliers earned a dominant 115-92 victory over the Charlotte Frelons.
In the victory, the Wine and Gold recorded a record 41 assists, their most in a regular season or postseason game in nearly 10 years.
A career-high eight of those assists came from Evan Mobley.
The 22-year-old put in an efficient and complete performance. He also added a team-high 17 points (tied) on 66.7% shooting from the field, seven rebounds and a steal in just 24:56 of playing time. With that stat line, he ended up joining a very exclusive company.
According to @CavsNotes on X, Mobley is only the fourth player in NBA history to total at least 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in a game in 25 minutes or less at age 22 or younger. The only other players to do this are the 2024 All-Star Scottie Barnes (November 19, 2023), two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo (November 5, 2016), and member of the Hall of Fame Clyde Drexler (January 3, 1985).

After Monday night’s game, the Cleveland forward reflected on his performance.
“It was good there,” Mobley said. “I’ve been active all season, so it feels good to be out there, playing with my teammates, going out there and doing what I love to do. We had a difficult time [on Sunday night]but I had a bounce back game, and I felt like everyone felt good after this one.
In addition, according to @CavsNotes on X, Mobley also became the second player in Cavaliers franchise history to record this stat line, regardless of age. Former Cleveland forward Kevin Love obtained these scores for Wine and Gold in a victory over the Detroit Pistons on November 4, 2022.
