By now, everyone, even the most casual NBA fan, knows what the LA Clippers are up to. They just christened their brand new arena in all its glory, leaving fans in awe of what awaits them in October when the team plays its first home game there.
Intuit Dome is packed with everything you need. a basketball fan might hopeA vast seating area designed to put every seat closer to the ground, USB chargers on every chair in the house, tons of toilets to reduce wait times, etc.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer said he wanted the Intuit Dome experience to be as close as possible to sitting at home and watching a game on your couch. You can get up and leave at any time with little hassle, good food and drinks are easy to find, and the atmosphere is casual and welcoming.
Of course, one of the main features of the Intuit Dome that has been widely touted is the acre-sized halo-shaped video board that stretches around the perimeter of the interior roof. It’s arguably one of the most impressive video boards of any sports venue in existence. Of course, with all this great stuff happening in Inglewood, the Clippers’ cross-town rivals have started to get a little nervous.
The Lakers are arguably the most famous professional sports team in Los Angeles, and they have a hard time accepting that the Clippers could ever be better than them at anything. That’s why they tried to distract from the Clippers’ incredible feat by announcing their own new video board at Crypto.com Arena.
THE The new Lake Show scoreboard It’s a 5,500-square-foot board that’s about the same size as the old one, located in the same central space of the arena. Of course, that board pales in comparison to the Intuit Dome’s halo board, which is about eight times larger than the block on the Lakers’ old scoreboard.
Sooner or later, the Lakers will have to face the reality that they can make all the changes and upgrades they want, but the Clippers’ new arena is vastly superior to the 25-year-old arena in downtown Los Angeles. Times are changing, and the Lakers are falling behind the Clippers.
