While much of the NBA is understandably fascinated by the rise of San Antonio Spurs star forward Victor Wembanyama, who is in his second year of his career, he’s not the only 7-foot-1 unicorn in the league’s Western Conference to watch. Oklahoma City Thunder star big man Chet Holmgren This is no joke, and he and Wemby form a budding mega-rivalry over the next half-decade.

And it’s not just Thunder fans and analysts who are excited about this potential recurring battle on the Western Conference court. National analysts and hosts of ESPN’s “NBA Today” are also excited to see the two big men face off in 2024-25.
