How the Guerschon Yabusele buyout works

A former NBA first-round pick who has been out of the league since 2019, Yabusele had an impressive showing with the French national team during the Olympics and suggested on social media after the Games that he would welcome another opportunity in the United StatesHowever, according to Marc Stein, Real Madrid’s acquisition of Yabusele is worth $2.5 million.

At least a report said Yabusele would be responsible for paying the majority of the $2.5 million buyout, while another suggested that an NBA team that signed him would be responsible for the entire amount. The truth depends on your perspective. Here’s how it works:
