The New Orleans Pelicans now have one of their best teams in recent memory. With three All-Stars and a slew of supporting players playing their roles to perfection, it’s no surprise that Zion Williamson wants to “win it all” this upcoming season.

During his basketball camp in Spartanburg, Zion had an interview with the media. Williamson expressed his excitement, as the regular season was two months away. In addition, the former Blue Devil also revealed the goal he had in mind for the Pelicans: winning a championship.

“I want to win everything. I would be lying if I said otherwise. I want my team and I to win everything. I think it’s possible.” Zion boldly declared.

Additionally, the 24-year-old also tipped his hat to Dejounte Murray and congratulated management on the impressive acquisition.

“I think Dejounte Murray is a great hire for all of you,” the interviewer said.

“True Murder” Williamson responded.

After the Alvin Gentry and Stan van Gundy era, the Louisiana team finally lived up to expectations with Willie Green as head coach. Since Green joined NOLA in 2021, the team has continued to improve: 36 wins in 2021-2022, 42 wins in 2022-2023 and 49 wins in 2023-2024.

The addition of Murray and Daniel Theis should allow Green to help the Pels reach 50 wins.

After assembling a high-quality team, it is clear that David Griffin and his teammates will give their all to bring a title to the city of New Orleans. While few analysts or fans believe that Zion and his teammates are title contenders, this team certainly has the potential to topple any powerhouse and make a deep run in the playoffs.
