As he enters his fourth NBA season, the 2024-25 season holds considerable significance for Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green.
Collectively, the young, improving Rockets (41-41) have fairly high expectations after a year that saw the league’s largest annual increase in wins (19) from the previous season.
And as an individual, Green is likely to head to free agency (albeit restricted) for the first time during the 2025 offseason.
So, from both a team and individual perspective, there’s a lot to prove for the second overall pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. It’s no surprise, then, that Green is taking the 2024 offseason very seriously.
Last week in Los Angeles, where many Houston players and coaches spend much of their offseason each year, Green organized an unofficial team mini-camp in anticipation of the opening of 2024-25 NBA training camps in late September.
No players were required to attend, as it was not part of training camp. Still, it is important to show up fit and healthy, and social media updates from players and others connected to them indicated that a large portion of the squad was present.
Thanks to media/information company Swish Cultures on X, here’s a look at highlights from the past week for members of the 2024-25 Rockets.
