James Harden and Paul George may no longer be teammates on the Clippers, but that didn’t stop them from teaming up once again overseas. James Harden, Paul George and Jimmy Butler all formed a super team for a charity game in Hong Kong hosted by Yao Ming.

It was a moment that was a unique treat for Chinese basketball fans and allowed them to discover a plethora of James Harden’s baskets.

One person may have been missed, but it was Paul George. Footage of Paul George being blocked by a defender in China has already been released viral online, reaching over 500,000 views in about two hours.

Given the scores, the game is shaping up to be a complete rout for the team of Harden, Paul George and Butler. Regardless, the experience itself should bring the three stars closer together and be an experience that Chinese fans will never forget.

What’s fascinating about watching these three players team up is that they all nearly became members of the Clippers. Paul George joined Kawhi Leonard in 2019, but Kawhi Leonard’s first pick was Jimmy Butler. If the team hadn’t traded for Paul George in 2019, they might have traded for James Harden later on — which they ultimately did in 2023. The domino effect in the NBA is hard to believe sometimes, but watching the Clippers from 2019 onwards is a perfect example.
