That day at Boston Celtics history, shooting guard PJ Dozier would sign a two-way contract with the team in 2018. A former student at his hometown University of South Carolina, Dozier went undrafted in the 2017 NBA draft, signing with the The Los Angeles Lakers for their Summer League team.

After passages with the The Dallas Mavericks And Oklahoma City Thunder During the 2017–18 season, the Columbia native joined the Celtics, signing a one-year contract. In Boston, Dozier made the All-NBA G League team with the Maine Red Claws (the Celtics’ G League developmental affiliate, now the Maine Celtics), the league’s equivalent of the All-Star team.

Boston declined to extend his contract at the end of the season and Dozier moved on to Denver Nuggetswho he still plays for. He averaged 3.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game with that team.

It is also the date of Boston’s 102-94 victory in Game 3 against the The Philadelphia 76ers in the first round of the 2020 NBA playoffs, which were held at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex outside Orlando, Florida.

The Celtics were led by 24 points and 8 rebounds from the point guard. Kemb Walker and 21 points and 7 rebounds from the front Jaylen Brown.

Philadelphia big man Joel Embiid He recorded 30 points and 13 rebounds, but it was not enough as no other Sixer exceeded 20 points.

“I don’t want to be carried away” Embiid said via the AP “I don’t want that on my resume. I’m going to give it my all. I’m going to come out and do everything I can to make sure we win a game.”

Unfortunately for Embiid, the Sixers were well and truly swept.
