The Detroit Pistons Calendar 2024-25 has been released, which means the next season is just around the corner.
Detroit starts the season looking like they’ve angered the schedule makers with their the first six games against title contenders. But beyond the schedule, now that we’re less than two months away from kickoff, let’s take a look at the Detroit Pistons-related bets of the season.

Last season, Jalen Duren averaged 13.8 points and 11.6 rebounds. That’s an impressive increase from his 9.1 and 8.9 numbers as a rookie two seasons ago. That was to be expected, as Detroit selected Duren because of the young big man’s incredible potential from Memphis.

Now Vegas has Jalen Duren taking a small step back and averaging less rebounds per game. I don’t think Duren will take a step back in terms of talent and ability. He will have a better team around him, which will allow him to focus more on what makes him a walking double-double.
The only thing that makes me hesitant is for the exact same reason. There are more mouths to feed, both in terms of points scored and rebounds. Suddenly, Duren will likely have to battle with Ausar Thompson, Ron Holland, Isaiah Stewart and to some extent, Tobias Harris and Simone Fontecchio for rebounds.
I’m guessing this is the exact reason Vegas lowered their per-game total, but I’m still betting on Duren being huge in the boards. I’m taking the over on this one.
