LA Clippers fans I’ve been waiting for years to see their team play a home game in an arena of their own. Not an arena that the team rents and has to share with three other professional teams, but an arena that they can say is theirs and theirs alone.

Well, that dream has finally come true. The Intuit Dome officially opened to the public on August 15th, and fans have already been able to see all the incredible features of this one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art venue. Clippers fans will be able to enjoy a premium experience every time they attend a home game to cheer on their team.

When the full NBA season schedule was officially released, we learned that October 23 would be the day Clippers fans would fill the Intuit Dome for their first-ever home game. Los Angeles will host the Phoenix Suns that night at 7:00 p.m. PT.

However, there’s some less interesting information about opening night: the cost of admission. According to Fox Los Angeles, tickets for the 100th level of the lower grandstand are selling for between $300 and $577 per ticket. There are currently no tickets online for less than $240.

This is probably a disappointment to most Clippers fans, and it certainly seems like Steve Ballmer is doing his best to make tickets as affordable as possible given his fan-first mindset when it comes to everything that happens at the Intuit Dome. However, it’s not too surprising given the widespread publicity that has been given to this new arena. Fans are obviously eager to get inside the building and see what all the fuss is about.

Before moving to Inglewood, the Clippers were able to offer relatively affordable ticket prices to their fans. Compared to Lakers home tickets, LAC tickets were commonplace. Now, with a purer entertainment experience at the Intuit Dome, it makes sense that prices would go up.

Wealthier Clippers fans probably won’t have a hard time getting a ticket to Opening Night. But more average fans will either have to break the bank or consider watching the game from home on Opening Night.
