Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving has become the creative director and investor in a new company called Players TV.
Players TV is a sports media company that features content produced by more than 50 professional athletes from a variety of sports. In addition to Irving, Players TV’s roster includes current and former NBA players Allen Iverson, Dwyane Wade, Damian Lillard, Carmelo Anthony, De’Aaron Fox, Chris Paul and former Mavs center DeAndre Jordan.
Other players include three-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, former Major League Baseball player Ken Griffey Jr. and current MLB player Mookie Betts.
Players TV bills itself as the one and only athlete-owned television network that focuses on athlete lifestyle and culture and allows fans to connect with their favorite athlete. Its co-founders include Deron Guidrey and Collin Castellaw.
Players TV content can be viewed on various platforms including Amazon Prime Video, DirecTV, YouTube, Fire TV, and Vizio.
Irving is coming off a stellar season in which he averaged 25.6 points, five rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals – while shooting 49.7 percent from the field and 41.1 percent from three-point range – while helping the Mavs reach the NBA Finals.
