Denver Nuggets rookie PJ Hall took to the course as a fan this week for the BMW Championship as part of the FedEx Cup Playoffs at Castle Pines Golf Club in Castle Rock, Colorado.
Hall was joined by teammates Christian Braun and Hunter Tyson, and the Nuggets’ social media team was there to capture it all. Hall and his former Clemson teammate even participated in a Q&A session as they walked the course, answering various golf-related topics.
One of their favorite players, Scottie Scheffler, is tied for 29th out of 50 players after starting the first two days at 1-under par, 12 shots behind leader Adam Scott. Keegan Bradley (-10), Ludvig Ã…berg (-9), Alex Noren (-8) and Taylor Pendrith (-7) round out the top five.
Hall signed a two-way contract with the Nuggets after going undrafted. He was named to the All-ACC first team last season as a senior after averaging 18.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 blocks on 48.8 percent shooting in 36 games.
The 22-year-old made his debut with the Nuggets during the NBA Summer League, averaging 11.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.5 blocks on 40.4 percent shooting in four games. He scored in double figures in every game, including 10 points and 13 rebounds on July 18.
Hall, Tyson and Braun too participated in a football day Friday with much of the team in town. After joining the team this summer, Hall appears to be adjusting well to his new team ahead of his rookie campaign.
