As August dragged on, Josh and I did another podcast episode that revolved around a mailbag. However, there was some news to cover before we got to the questions! First, we talked about Luka Doncic, Dirk Nowitzki, and Steve Nash going to Goran Dragic’s farewell charity game. Next, we talked about Marc Stein’s report that the Dallas players are together in LA, working out in some form. Finally, we talked about Jason Kidd’s appearance on a Bay Area podcast and his comments about Kyrie Irving helping bring people to Dallas. Kyrie as a scout is pretty cool! Finally, I talked a little bit about how much fun I had at the Mavs Twitter Tournament that weekend.

The letters to the editor were very long. There was a question about Jaden Hardy comparing to Roddy B and Dominic Jones. There was a question about Luka’s training regimen and what he could improve on. There was a question about where Grimes, Hardy and Dante Exum ranked in terms of their breakout potential. One person gave me a platform to complain about the international game and the number of NBA games there are. I’m always thrilled by the kinds of questions we get asked and really, we should ask them more often during the regular season. Maybe we’ll try!
