The Boston Celtics will be without star big man Kristaps Porzingis for much if not all of the 2024-25 NBA season through the month of December. And as such, they will need to lean on their rotation bigs to help pick up the slack in order to avoid putting too much on the shoulders of veteran forward Al Horford while KP heals up.

We know what we are going to get from the likes of reserve center Luke Kornet, and we will likely see more from backup big man Neemias Queta as well. We might even see two way swingman Anton Watson on some nights. But perhaps more than any other player in the Celtics’ frontcourt next season, Boston will look to Xavier Tillman Sr. to take the biggest step forward from his role with the team last season.

To talk it over, the hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, sat down on a recent episode to look at his strengths and weaknesses and where he may be most effective this season. Check it out below!
