The Wolves returned their best players, including Anthony Edwards, Karl-Anthony Towns, Rudy Gobert, Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels and Mike Conley Jr. Edwards was named to the All-NBA Second Team, Gobert was named Defensive Player of the Year for the fourth time, Naz Reid was named Sixth Man of the Year and Chris Finch was a finalist for Coach of the Year.
Hired in May 2022, Connelly made trades to bring in Gobert and Conley Jr.
The Wolves are coming off a special season. Their 56 wins are the second most wins in a season in team history. The Wolves also won two rounds of playoffs before ultimately losing to Dallas in the Western Conference Finals.
Expectations heading into the 2024-25 season are incredibly high.
