The NBA’s Australian contingent grew today with the announcement that Luke Travers has officially signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a two-way contract.

Travers, 22, was drafted by the Cavaliers in the 2022 NBA draft and played for the team in the previous two Summer League campaigns, but this deal will represent his first chance to gain real NBA experience.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Travers will be heading to the league after officially announcing he would not be returning to the NBL in early August, after being released by his team Melbourne United.
