Get to know new people Brooklyn Nets attacker Ziaire Williams before the start of the 2024-25 NBA season. Williams, who played collegiately at Stanford, was recruited by the The New Orleans Pelicans with the 10th overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft.

The Lancaster, Calif., native never played for the Pels, however, having been traded to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a massive deal between the Pels, Griz and Charlotte Hornets just over a week after the draft. A 6-foot-9, 215-pound wing, Williams was traded again this offseason to the Nets for Nemanja Dangubic and Mamadi Diakiteand will play his first season in the league for a team other than Memphis this fall.
