Kel’el Ware headlined a group of Miami Heat players who attended the grand opening of the new location of the Ice Cream Museum in downtown Miami on Thursday.

Located at the Miami Worldcenter, the permanent site spans 14,000 square feet over two floors. The attraction, which has also been featured in cities like Boston, Chicago and New York, is considered the next generation of interactive museums and is expected to attract visitors from more than 80 countries in its first year of operation.

Ware was joined by teammates Caleb Daniels, Keshad Johnson, Isaiah Stevens and Bryson Warren at the event, which hosted several other celebrities and influencers. They were photographed checking out the venue’s features while enjoying samples of the ice cream.

Ware was selected 15th overall by the Heat after averaging 15.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.9 blocks and 1.5 assists as a junior last season at Indiana. He was named second-team All-Big Ten and was one of two players in the conference to average at least 15 points and nine rebounds.

The 20-year-old was appointed to the NBA Summer League He was selected to the first team after averaging 18 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, one assist and one steal on 61.8 percent shooting in six games in Las Vegas, Nevada. He led all players with four double-doubles.

Ware is expected to play a backup role behind All-Star Bam Adebayo in the rotation. He should provide basket protection on the court and should be a formidable lob threat for the team next season and beyond.
