Recently, 76ers legend Charles Barkley spoke about George on The Bill Simmons Podcast.
Barkley: “I think he’s got a huge upside. He just has to be the third-best player on the team. That’s a huge upside for Paul. Joel’s the guy. Maxey’s the second guy. Paul just has to be the third-best player.”
George has never been such a clear third option, which could make him an even more effective player.
It will also take a lot of the pressure off Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.
That said, the most important thing will be that George and Embiid stay healthy.
