Below is the Suns’ new preseason schedule:
SUNDAY, OCT. 6 at LOS ANGELES LAKERS (6:30 p.m. PST)
TUESDAY, OCT. 8 AT DETROIT PISTONS (4:00 p.m. PST)
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11 vs. DETROIT PISTONS (7:00 p.m. PST)
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13 AT DENVER NUGGETS (5:30 PM PST)
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17 vs. LOS ANGELES LAKERS (7:00 p.m. PST)
The Suns will then begin their 2024-25 regular season on the road with a two-game trip to the Los Angeles Clippers (October 23) and Los Angeles Lakers (October 25) before their home opener against the Dallas Mavericks on October 26.
There is a lot of anticipation in the Valley with the arrival of head coach Mike Budenholzer, who takes over the Suns for his first season as head coach after the firing of Frank Vogel.
Phoenix is hoping to get more out of its star trio of Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant in 2024-25 — they believe they have enough talent around their “big three” to make a deeper push than last season, when they won 49 games but were swept out of the playoffs in the first round.
While no official training camp date has been set, dates across the league will be September 30 or October 1 (Boston and Denver will start a week earlier with their international games).
