A former Australian NBA participant is returning to the league, with Thon Maker signing with the Houston Rockets.

Maker, 27, was introduced Wednesday as an Exhibit 10 signing by the Rockets, alongside former NCAA cult hero Markquis Nowell.

This might be Maker’s second stint on the planet’s prime league, returning to the NBA after three years in varied competitions overseas.

Thon Maker is again within the NBA, with the 2016 tenth total decide signed with the Houston Rockets.

Maker was extremely excited coming into the NBA, however struggled throughout his first stint within the league – he frolicked with Milwaukee, Detroit and Cleveland between his draft day and 2021.

He went on to play internationally in Israel, China and Lebanon, in addition to a brief stint within the G League, however now he has a lifeline again to the NBA.

The Australian joins the Rockets on an Exhibit 10 deal – a one-year, non-guaranteed minimal wage contract that can perform as a “proof-of-the-box” deal to see if he can be part of the staff.

He joins fellow Australians Jock Landale and Jack McVeigh in Houston, because the staff appears to return to playoff basketball.
