Charlotte Hornets Fans are eagerly awaiting the day when the team’s games will be broadcast by Bally Sports or at least another company. Well, things might be moving in that direction.
According to a report from the New York PostAmazon is in “advanced” talks for a deal to live stream all non-nationally televised Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs games with Bally Sports.
Details have yet to be finalized as the deal is still pending approval, but fans will be able to access their team’s games on Amazon Prime for around $20 per month. According to the official BallySports websiteThey will continue to broadcast the matches with existing cable, satellite and virtual streaming partners.
“Once this agreement is approved and becomes effective, Bally Sports+ will be available for purchase through Amazon’s Prime Video Channel platform for an additional cost. If you are currently watching through a pay TV provider, nothing will change. As a reminder, Bally Sports+ currently offers fans direct access to streaming their local NBA and NHL teams, as well as the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays.”
This is a non-exclusive deal, however, meaning Bally would be allowed to negotiate deals with other streaming services if they are interested.
