“It was one of the most shocking results of the whole season, especially if you watched the game… How is that happening? What is going on? No Donovan Mitchell. It was very, very difficult to rationalize how this ultimately played out. Evan Mobley leaves injured. It was all kinds of messed up stuff.

Bet on EDGE host Drew Dinsick (@whale_capper) on Boston’s loss to a struggling Cavaliers team in Cleveland on Tuesday night.

Looking to bounce back from this more than surprising loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics bring the best record in the NBA to Denver for a matchup against the reigning champion Nuggets.

Boston (-105) @ Denver (-115) | Spread: Nuggets -1.5 | O/U: 221

Dinsick and Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) analyzed this match.

“A lot of people are going to look at this game as a preview of the NBA Finals because right now…the writing is on the wall: The East is going to lose to the Celtics. They can obviously lose it, as they’ve proven repeatedly…but I still think they have at least a huge head and shoulders margin over the next best team.

Dinsick acknowledges that the Nuggets are currently playing their best basketball of the season.

“People are really starting to think of them as Western class. Before the All-Star Break, they were arguing… Malone (head coach Michael Malone) did a pretty decent job, I think, of motivating his team and he really called them to task and said, ‘ Hey, we have to play good basketball. March and we’ve really prepared ourselves for a home-field advantage in the West, which is going to be huge.” In the end, they did.

No wonder Nikola Jokic led this push for the Nuggets.

“It’s been a really impressive two weeks from Nicola Jokic. He’s running away with the MVP at this point. I’m going to take a big old L on some of the bets I made during and around the All-Star Break on SGA,” Dinsick said.

He and Vaughn Dalzell dove into the match on today’s episode of Bet the EDGE. Dinsick is rolling with the Celtics.

“I like the way they fit everywhere. I’m expecting a pretty complete and healthy roster from the Celtics here. This is not the kind of game I would expect from them. I think given the way this game went against the Cavaliers, it’s kind of a heart-to-heart performance opportunity here for our Celtics… Basically, every minute Jokic leaves the court, the Celtics have an advantage on a points per possession basis of around .23 points. It is enormous. I think that will be enough to get them over the finish line and ultimately the fact that they have so many guys that can switch and defend…I think they will be able to do a decent job making sure the worst guy on the floor is the one shooting (for Denver). Give me anything to the Celtics plus money in Denver against the Nuggets.

Dalzell (@VmoneySports) also likes Boston but looks props to Jayson Tatum.

“Rather than choosing a side in this match. I’ll probably attack Jayson Tatum. I think Tatum is going to be very, very aggressive. When he went out in the third quarter of the Cavs game, Jaylen Brown took over and when Jalen Brown takes over for the Celtics, I have a feeling strange things are bound to happen if Tatum isn’t on the field…I definitely think Tatum is going to do it. having… a 30 piece, 30 McNugget as we like to call it, seems likely.

It’s must-see television for NBA fans and bettors.
