Monday night, the Boston Celtics lost to the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 120-118 (at State Farm Arena in Georiga).

After the game, the team announced that it had assigned two players (Jordan Walsh and Jaden Springer) to the Maine Celtics (G League).

Maine faces the College Park Skyhawks (the Hawks’ G League affiliate) Tuesday and Thursday in Atlanta. So it’s possible that Walsh and Springer could be recalled before Thursday’s game between the Hawks and Celtics.

Despite Monday’s loss, they remain the best team in the NBA (and the top seed in the Eastern Conference) with a 57-15 record in 72 games.

They will stay in Atlanta to face the Hawks on Thursday, then travel to New Orleans for a game against the Pelicans on Saturday night.

Last season, the Celtics beat the Hawks in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in six games).
