The NBA has released the full schedule for the 2024-25 season in no uncertain terms. You can check out the full Charlotte Hornets schedule here.

The Hornets will open the season on Wednesday, October 23, on the road against the Houston Rockets. The home opener will be on Saturday, October 26, against the Miami Heat. The Hornets have four tournaments in the season Group stage matches in November and early December:

  • Tuesday, November 12 – at the Orlando Magic
  • Tuesday, November 19 – to the Brooklyn Nets
  • Friday, November 29 – vs. New York Knicks (kickoff at noon)
  • Tuesday, December 3 – against the Philadelphia 76ers

The Hornets have had a bit of a reprieve in their group game schedule. On paper, their two toughest opponents are at home, while they host their two easiest opponents away. It’s a favourable draw.

Some other notes and highlights from the program:

  • The Hornets only have one primetime game. It’s on ESPN on January 17 against the Bulls, just in case both Ball brothers are healthy.
  • There are two big West Coast road trips in early January and late February. The latter comes straight from the All-Star break, which is probably as ideal as it could be.
  • The Hornets have three straight road games before the All-Star break, which means they will technically play eight straight road games around the All-Star break.
  • The Hornets will play nine consecutive home games between Jan. 24 and Feb. 7.
  • The Hornets play their four games against the Celtics in two sets. They host Boston on back-to-back nights to start November. And they end the season with back-to-back games in Boston. Depending on how the season goes, that could be a blessing or a curse.
  • The Hornets have played 11 of their last 18 games away from home.
  • The Hornets get three full days off for New Year’s Day between December 30 and January 3.

Overall, there’s not much to take away from this schedule. There’s nothing out of the ordinary that could have a major impact on the Hornets’ season.
