Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard He insisted he wasn’t preparing for the basketball rocking chair, and we have every reason to believe him. Well, there are plenty of reasons.

After all, he averaged 24.3 points and 7.0 assists in his first season with the Bucks, which seems like a good fit for the team. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest. It hasn’t led to drastic improvements in Milwaukee – and trade which led to Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers proving to be more of a success than anything else.

Lillard turned 34 last month, around the same time many small guards start losing their legs. Not always, but often. He insisted that wouldn’t be the case for him.

“I’m not a player who falls apart,” Lillard said. Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel“I live a clean, good, healthy life, so I can do it. I can do the same (expletive) thing I did two or three years ago. I can do it now.”

It’s up for debate, but there’s no doubt that Lillard is still very good. Regardless, some suspect that the portion of his career in Milwaukee will end up being pretty forgettable. He’ll put up good numbers, and the Bucks won’t go anywhere, one opposing scout predicted to Hoops Wire.

For now, the Bucks are considered behind at least the defending champions Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference, and possibly the Indiana Pacers and Cleveland Cavaliers as well.

Lillard said he doesn’t mind.

“The fact that we’re here and we’re under the radar is perfect because they won’t think anything of us and then they’ll say… You have to face the truth at some point.” he said“That’s how it usually happens.”
