The Bulls have been a different team as of late, and against a Cliipers team that could play it safe tonight, our NBA picks think the unerdogs don’t get enough credit.
The Los Angeles Clippers are still looking for the No. 1 seed in the West and they will look to close the gap at the top when they host the Chicago Bulls this afternoon.
Although Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and James Harden all appear questionable on the injury report, the Clippers also enter at ease. NBA Odds favorites – and they are coming off a 122-116 victory over the Houston Rockets in midweek.
The Bulls are likely stuck in 9th place in the East, but they’ve had an eye-catching road trip so far, with three straight wins, including a 125-122 win over the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.

Bulls vs Clippers Predictions
After rebuffing calls for a timely reconstruction, the Bulls seemed determined to make the most of things this year. They had three good road wins this week, finding an identity as the playoffs draw closer, and I see them in that form again today.
Chicago has won four of its last five games overall. DeMar DeRozan And Nikola Vucevic took center stage with 33 points each against the Warriors, with Coby White also continuing to impress as a goalscorer.
With the uncertainties surrounding the Clippers’ roster, the 7.5 point line is surprisingly high, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Los Angeles takes a cautious approach with its stars with another game on the line tomorrow.
Sure, the hosts’ depth has been a strength this year, but Russell Westbrook is already out with a hand injury and the Clippers are 6-6 since February 7.
It’s tough to bet against the hosts’ 21-8 mark at home, but I like to take that many points with the Bulls in this spot.

If Chicago wants to keep this competition close, Vucevic must win the frontcourt battle against Los Angeles’ trio of centers. Ivica Zubac is expected for the Clippers this afternoon, with Daniel Theis and Mason Plumlee in backup roles – so the visitors will need Vucevic’s size in the paint.
The 33-year-old has been a double-double machine, accumulating 36 this season (seventh in the NBA). He’s pulled down 12 or more rebounds in five of his last eight outings, and I see him putting up another big stat line in this afternoon’s tipoff.
I also choose Alex Caruso to call from beyond the arc. He’s shooting 38 percent on triples this season and he’s made two or more 3-pointers in five of his last eight games.
The Clippers’ transition defense has been a problem all season, and I see that helping to pave the way for Caruso, who is overqualified to be Chicago’s fifth option in the starting group.

Spread Bulls vs Clippers and Over/Under analysis
I’ve already picked the Bulls to cover the spread, and it’s worth noting that the line went from 9.5 to 7.5 overnight, which could be a nod to the likelihood that the star trio of the Clippers is on the court.
Chicago is a respectable 15-17 at United Center, with encouraging signs over the past week, in particular. Road wins this month against the Warriors, Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans speak volumes about the visitors’ progress.
Meanwhile, the Clippers have faltered over the past month, and they are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games. Playoff seeding is a consideration, but health is Kawhi & Co.’s biggest priority over the final five weeks of the season.
The total stands at 221.5, apparently taking into account possible absences from Los Angeles. The Under is 35-26 against the Clippers this season – and they have conceded in five of their last seven outings.
But the Bulls have exceeded that total in three straight games, and I’m leaning towards the Over, with the visitors boasting a balanced attack averaging 119 points per game in their last three games.
