De’Aaron Fox’s season has been marked by a plethora of ups and downs, but he finds himself playing well right now and there’s no reason why he shouldn’t continue that against the Bulls. Learn more in our NBA picks below.
Although they surely both had bigger ambitions for the season, the Chicago Bulls and Sacramento Kings both find themselves in the throes of the play-in race. With Chicago unlikely to qualify for a guaranteed playoff spot, the Kings are currently hanging by a thread.
A home loss to the Bulls would be a big blow to Sacramento’s chances of staying in the Top 6. They desperately need a win, but the Kings have also failed when playing some of the other NBA teams in below 0.500.
THE NBA Odds favor the local team on Monday March 4, but with my NBA picks and predictions for Bulls vs Kings, I’m looking for value elsewhere.

Bulls vs Kings Predictions
De’Aaron Fox’s season directly mirrored that of Kings of Sacramento Overall, he’s had a year full of ups and downs.
Fox started the season strong, especially from three, and looked like a strong contender for All-Star and All-NBA honors. It then calmed down considerably and the team had to rely more on Domantas Sabonis And Monk Malik to mark the juice.
However, Fox has stepped it up again recently. He’s averaging 26 points per game over his last 10 and 31.6 over his last five. His 3-point shot didn’t fall like before, but he showed new explosion and aggression when getting to the basket.
THE Chicago Bulls playing some of the hardest working players in the Association. With Fox’s first step looking decent, he should have no problem beating his man and helping him thrive in the lane on Monday.
Fox is technically listed as questionable for today’s action after missing the previous two games, but he was a full participant in Sacramento’s practice on Sunday. It would be a real shock if he didn’t get dressed.
These De’Aaron Fox odds coming in well below his season average appears to be a vote of confidence in Alex Caruso’s defensive prowess. However, Caruso himself is considered doubtful.
Caruso injured his hamstring about a week ago, causing him to miss the Bulls game on Wednesday. While he returned to action against Milwaukee on Friday, he is back on the injury report with the same hamstring issue.
Caruso has been banged up throughout the season. If he were to suffer a muscle strain that sidelines him for the final weeks of the regular season, it could end the Bulls’ already dim play-in tournament hopes. I guess the Bulls are being cautious.
If he does suit up, I still think this version of Fox will prove to be too much for him. Fox had 41 points on 13-24 shooting from the field against the Bulls in their previous game with Caruso available.
My best bet: De’Aaron Fox Over 24.5 points (-110 on bet365)
Parlay Bulls vs Kings in the same match
This extra spring in Fox’s approach lately doesn’t just translate into a score. While Sabonis is the best rebounder on the team (and even in the entire league), De’Aaron has done more work on the glass in recent games.
The benefits are pretty obvious. Fox grabbing a defensive board allows the Kings’ fast break in a way that a Sabonis rebound rarely can and Fox after his own miss on the offensive glass usually sees him have a good chance at the rim or a zero foul.
As for the total, I take the Over at 227.5.
This is largely due to the fact that this is a team that relies on strong perimeter shooting to support the rest of its offense and its non-star players shoot better close to home. They’re shooting almost 3% better from downtown in their own barn, which makes me optimistic about them cashing in another Over on Monday.

Spread Bulls vs Kings and Over/Under analysis
Sacramento opened as much as a -7.5 point favorite for Monday’s game against Chicago, which is down to -6.5 at most sportsbooks.
After having a dominant home-court advantage a year ago, the Kings haven’t been as effective at Golden 1 Center this season. Sacramento is just 11-15 ATS at home in their last 26 games.
The Kings have recent wins against the Nuggets, Clippers, and Timberwolves, but then abandon winnable ones in favor of inferior competition. Sacrament has a -2.6 point differential over the last two weeks and a hair negative over the entire season.
The Bulls have failed to break through this season and have spent much of the year 3-4 games below .500, but they are also not letting up in the play-in race and have gone 17 -14. ATS following a defeat.
The total opened at 229.5 and fell two points to 227.5 for most books. Getting these two points is another reason why I love the Over.
A year ago, the Kings had the most efficient offense in NBA history. This year they’re just average, but the Kings offense hasn’t gotten much worse outside of normalizing their injury luck, it’s just that the other offenses have gotten a lot better.
With the team healthy and Fox and Sabonis both playing to their abilities, it should be difficult for the Bulls defense to slow down.
