THE Boston Celtics will face the Detroit Pistons on Friday March 22. This is the second time these two teams have faced each other in a week. However, the Celtics are unlikely to be at full strength as several players are listed on their injury report ahead of game day.
Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis And Jayson Tatum are all listed as questionable. Jrue Vacations is injured and will not participate. Sam Hauser is listed as probable and will likely wear his jersey for the first time since his 30-point outing against the Wizards of Washington on Sunday (March 17).
Boston is three games away from clinching the top seed in the Eastern Conference. A victory over the Pistons could bring them even closer to cementing their spot. Fortunately for Joe Mazzulla’The Detroit team he will be missed several rotation members.
Quentin Grimes, Ausar Thompson, Isaiah Stewart, Simone Fontecchio, Stanley Umude and Taj Gibson are all listed as missing from Monty Williams’ squad. Still, the Celtics must stay focused if they want to avoid a potential trap game and continue to build momentum heading into the playoffs.
