On May 2, 2017, Isaiah Thomas experienced one of the most historic nights of Boston Celtics At the time, Thomas was an All-Star and had just finished in the top five in MVP voting. However, he had also suffered the tragic loss of his sister.

Nevertheless, Thomas played in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Washington Wizards despite it being his late sister’s birthday. He scored 53 points and led his team to victory. The performance has since become part of Boston’s popular law and has endeared “the little guy” even more to The Celts fans around the world.

During a recent appearance in the podcast “The Knuckleheads”, Thomas shared his experience of that night from his perspective. The veteran spoke about the emotions he went through and the support he received from the audience in attendance and the online fan base.
