Lonnie Walker IV’s quest to make the Boston Celtics’ opening day roster has failed.
The Celtics surrender Walker, Shams Charania of ESPN reported Saturday. Walker signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Cs on August 28.
Groups now have the choice to say Walker on waivers, but when he clears waivers, he’ll return to the group and be part of Boston’s G League affiliate in Maine.
