We all know that pros want championships. We didn’t know AT&T was what a professional needed.

In a nod to Christina Aguilera’s iconic song, “What a Girl Wants,” AT&T features Chet Holmgren and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder in a short 30-second March Madness commercial.

This is an ongoing trend we’ve seen over the years through the company’s “Connect to Madness” campaign. This is just one of several AT&T spots that leverage recognizable NBA faces with other commercials featuring Carmelo Anthony, Draymond Green, Jalen Brunson and more throughout the tournament.

With the Thunder stacking up wins on the court throughout the season, it makes sense that they would find some off the court as well. Gilgeous-Alexander also starred in a commercial for the company Last year as part of a Kentucky-centric commercial starring Jacob Toppin, who is now a member of the Knicks.

Watch Chet Holmgren and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s AT&T Commercial

The ad is more simplistic than some AT&T ads we’ve seen in the past, featuring only Gilgeous-Alexander and Holmgren. The duo leaves what might be a hotel to board what we assume is the Thunder team bus.

From there, we see them launch into a parody of Aguilera’s song, although with a little less passion than we’d see on the hardwood. Gilgeous-Alexander, however, may have a future judging singing competitions after pointing out how flat they sounded before the commercial ended.

Here’s their take on the Aguilera classic:

They know what a pro wants.

What a pro needs.

Whatever makes me happy.

Free you?

And I appreciate you knowing exactly.

Luckily for them, singing is not a crucial part of the NBA game. But outside of playing the Lakers or Clippers, don’t expect to see these stars in Hollywood anytime soon.
