Clippers star James Harden’s rating in NBA 2K25

Additionally, Harden’s 84 overall rating is the lowest the talented guard has had since his fourth year in the NBA in NBA 2K13. He had at least an 88 overall rating in every game for 11 consecutive games, up until NBA 2K25.

James Harden in the NBA
Overall, James Harden’s NBA 2K rating is probably a little low. An 86 rating would make perfect sense given the Clippers star’s production.
Despite his aging and slight decline in productivity, James Harden remains an elite player. He averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 8.5 assists last season alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Those numbers should increase this season with George out of the picture and Harden clearly the second option.

Since becoming a full-time NBA starter, Harden has averaged 27.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.6 steals per game in 852 appearances.
The Clippers point guard is still a 10-time NBA All-Star, three-time scoring champion, two-time assists champion, 2017-18 MVP and member of the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team.
When you look around the NBA, there aren’t many players who can score and distribute points at his level, and there are perhaps only a handful of players ranked higher than him who can do it. This season will be a season where Harden, for the first time since the 2019-20 campaign, won’t be his team’s third option. The Clippers will need him to return to his old ways.
In his three seasons as the third option, James Harden averaged 20.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 9.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game on 43.4 percent shooting and 36.5 percent from three-point range.
The LA Clippers will begin training camp on October 1, 2024, the day after Media Day in Inglewood. Harden and Kawhi Leonard are both expected to participate fully in camp, so a healthy camp would go a long way in getting the Clippers off to a good start.
