Milwaukee Bucks game leader Damien Lillard was expected to carry the team Monday night with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton sidelined due to injury. Lillard exploded for 41 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded four assists and recorded a steal in a 113-106 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Milwaukee trailed Los Angeles for most of the game and was down by as many as 15 points in this one. With the win, the Bucks have now won six straight games and improved to 41-21 on the year. They are currently the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference.

As for the Clippers, they fell to 39-21 on the year and are the fourth seed in the Western Conference. It’s a game they never should have lost, especially since Milwaukee didn’t have Giannis Antetokounmpo (Achilles injury) or Khris Middleton (ankle injury).
Since Doc Rivers became the head coach of the Bucks, they have used more sets than Lillard used in Portland. The rivers said Gabe Stoltz, the Milwaukee Bucks beat the reporter for Brewhoop saying:
“I think for a lot of the year I was just trying to find my way. I try to find my spaces where I have the opportunity. I just think it’s because I played against Doc so many times in the West, and he had to get his bearings against me. And when he came in, he just said to me, “Aren’t you the one running this?” Aren’t you the one running this? These were things we hated to keep from you.
The Milwaukee Bucks will need Damian Lillard moving forward

Lillard took a big step forward Monday night when the Bucks needed to score without two key players. They brought him here to not only win games, but to win another NBA championship. It’s the only thing missing from his NBA career.

He also hasn’t scored more than 20 points in the last two games heading into Monday night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers. They are legitimate title contenders and for them to come back and win this match was difficult. Lillard will need to be the guy for the Bucks in later games when it comes to the playoffs for them.
